Don Agustin Rivas Vasquez - El Banco (The Master Shaman)

Don Agustin has been working with the medicinal plants of the Peruvian Amazon for 60 years now. His many years of experience make him one of the most sought-after shamans in Peru - for many he is even the best shaman in the country - and for many years he received groups from all over the world at his 'Yushintaita' camp. Many people have experienced relief or even a cure for their illnesses here, some of the most serious. Others come to seek support from Don Agustin for their spiritual growth. Still others, under Don Agustin's guidance, delve deeply into the shamanic art of healing in order to make their own contribution to the common good.

Even before his time as a shaman, Don Agustin was known beyond the borders of Peru. As a sculptor, he knew how to capture the creatures and situations of Amazonian mythology in wooden sculptures. In 1979, he was invited to Germany by Helmut Schmidt's government, where his work was honored in a large exhibition and a documentary film by Deutsche Welle in Hamburg. An accident injured his hands to such an extent that he can no longer do this work today.

But it was precisely this that led him to share his knowledge with the world as a shaman.

His extensive knowledge of the medicinal plants of the Amazon enables him to apply therapies that are individually tailored to each of his clients. Be it only with medicine, which he prepares himself with much love, patience and shamanic expertise from the diverse plants, or also with various other applications, such as clay baths and wraps, steam treatments, shamanic massages and, of course, above all, the shamanic cleansing ceremonies with the hallucinogenic master plant ayahuasca.

With the help of the master plants, Don Agustin is able to penetrate deep into the other worlds in order to receive information and help from the spirit beings and plant elementals. Experiencing such a ceremony with Don Agustin is a very special experience that will stay with you forever. Purification on all levels and spiritual visions that can bring us answers to all our questions are the main elements of these ceremonies. The journey through the dimensions is lovingly and powerfully accompanied by healing chants, the so-called Mariris and the invocations of the spirit beings, the Icaros, as well as a variety of sounds. His wife Doña Marlene accompanies him with her infinite love. Don Agustin also treats individual participants in his deep trance of the ceremony.

Don Agustin's life story reads like a fantastic novel (The Magic of the Amazon, by Jaya Bear, Michaels-Verlag 2004). Whether his encounter with the Yacurunas, the water spirits from the Amazon, in his childhood and his encounter with the forest spirit Chullachaqui, the appearance of the great master shaman ........... as a large bird and his transformation or even his one-year stay with a tribe of cannibals after getting lost in the jungle.

One story after another leaves the reader in childlike amazement. But all these experiences make Don Agustin what he is today, a great teacher, shaman, healer, sage and loving friend.

His humanity, his modesty and his incredible sense of humor make him the special shaman who captures the hearts of everyone who has the good fortune to get to know him.

Today, he is one of the most important people for the village community of Tamshiyacu. Many residents come to him for work, advice or support.

Due to his advanced age, he is now 98 years old, Don Agustin will no longer lead all the group work, he needs space and retreat to recover from the strenuous work.

However, he will not miss the opportunity to take part in the activities and share his wisdom and experience with us.

Doña Marlene Soto Ramirez - The Shaman of the Heart

Doña Marlene has been at Don Agustin's side for 33 years now, accompanying him on all his travels and work. A powerful and experienced master shaman and ayahuasquera herself, she knows how to conquer people's hearts with infinite love and an almost mary-like energy. Her gentle chants in the ceremonies heal the heart and emotions in a gentle way and bring us back to our love. She accompanies all groups alongside Don Agustin and in her own beautiful camp 'Charapamama' she welcomes the participants for an eventful stay. There she leads the ceremonies and healing work herself.

Born in the nearby village of Tamshiyacu, she is the descendant of great healers and learned the use of Amazonian medicinal plants from her mother at an early age.

But it was Don Agustin who brought her to him and gave her the opportunity to develop her skills to mastery over many years of practice. She will be the one to carry on Don Agustin's legacy after his time, and she is already doing much of the work with the groups.

Her healing treatments, such as flower baths and shamanic massages, are also a special experience not to be missed.

Charapamama - The Jungle Camp

This camp is located about five kilometers from the Amazon village of Tamshiyacu in the Loreto region (near Iquitos) and offers a very special flair.

A very feminine earthy power invites the visitor here, to connect with the power of the earth and come to rest. 'Charapa' is the name of the water turtles that can be observed here in the large lake. The kitchen and lounge area was cut deep into the earth by Don Agustin and his workers. Earth spirits carved from the earth peer out from the walls. A narrow path leads to the somewhat secluded circular natural swimming pool, which also contains a special light-colored healing earth.

Various huts offer the group participants a home for the duration of their stay in direct proximity to the nature of the rainforest.

The temple is located in the entrance area of the camp above the kitchen. Showers and toilets are accessible from the covered terrace, which invites you to relax and meditate.

The shamanic work here is led by Doña Marlene, while Don Agustin accompanies the cleansing ceremonies with the master plant Ayahuasca, as the power of Doña Marlene and Don Agustin are inextricably linked.

This place is particularly regenerating with its infinite peace and connection to the earth.

A stay here brings deep relaxation and slowing down and offers an unforgettable experience.

Cusco - The Heart of the Andes

Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire, welcomes you with a breathtaking interplay of history, culture and natural beauty. This vibrant city in the Peruvian Andes is not only a stepping stone to the impressive ruins of Machu Picchu, but also a fascinating destination in its own.

The city breathes history. The winding cobblestone streets of Cusco lead through colonial architecture built on the foundations of Inca temples. Discover the mysterious interplay of Inca art and Spanish colonial architecture as you stroll through the main square, the Plaza de Armas.

Cusco is home to numerous archaeological sites that showcase the advanced architecture of the Incas. Visit Sacsayhuamán, a massive stone fortress, or Qorikancha, the Temple of the Sun, to learn more about the spiritual significance of these places.

Cusco is located at a considerable altitude of 3,400 meters above sea level, so it is important to take time to acclimatize to the thinner air. Enjoy plant infusions (Mate de Coca or Muña) to alleviate possible altitude sickness.

Cusco is more than just a starting point for Machu Picchu. It is a city that proudly presents its rich past and at the same time points the way to the future. Let yourself be enchanted by the magic of this historic city. Welcome to Cusco - where the past comes alive.

Rosa Maria Vargas - Spiritual Teacher of the Heart

She has a small spiritual center there, which invites you to linger with its geometric architecture (Chakana/Andean cross) and wonderful murals.

With her boundless knowledge of the Tiwanaku culture, she takes us into a fascinating past world in the ruins and power places of the Andean plateau, always focusing on the spiritual experience of the places. With her infinitely big heart, she lovingly shares her knowledge and wisdom with us.

On the journey with Rosa Maria, we can find ourselves completely and experience deep transformation.

Koati - Moon Island in the Mother Lake (Titicaca)

Connecting with one of the most powerful places of female energy.

We create our very own temple of the priestesses of the Great Goddess, mindfully entering the sacred space of our feminine power.

What does this mean? How can we do this without creating new separation? What are our deepest heart's desires for returning to feminine spirituality and the art of living? What is the truly feminine power?

On this extraordinary journey to Peru and Bolivia, we will discuss these questions together as a group.

Our destination is the Moon Island (Isla de la Luna) on the Bolivian side of Lake Titicaca on the high plateau of the Andes at 3,800 meters above sea level.

This magical place is imbued with an ancient power that has been preserved in its purest and most pristine form. Around 24 Aymara families live here and only a few tourists land by hydrofoil during the day for a short visit to the ruins.

In this serene and natural environment, we can dive deep into ourselves.

If we open ourselves to the energies of Lake Titicaca, we may receive surprising insights and messages that we can use for this time of transformation of the earth and ourselves. Adapted to the slowed down life flow of this place, we will spend a lot of time with meditation, relaxation, stories and legends, as well as ritual or ceremonial shamanic work for ourselves and the world. This unique journey to the Moon Island in the Mother Lake, to the Temple of the Priestesses (I'ak Uyu) will connect us directly with the highest feminine power of divinity and allow us to access the hidden wisdom of the Goddess within us.

Even though we are also dealing with the 'feminine' quality of spirituality, the offer is explicitly not only aimed at women. All people who want to dare to move forward into a new spiritual era are welcome in this group.

We experience ourselves in shamanic journeys (drum journeys), shamanic dance ritual (healing performance, danced by Mara Ohm), Pago à la Tierra (thanksgiving ceremony for Mother Earth with the island shaman and possibly in the ruins in Tiwanaku), stories & legends with the Aymara elder Florentino around the campfire, moon spiral in the virgin temple (circle dance to harmonize the forces of the heavenly bodies), visits to ruins and places of power of the Inca and the pre-Inca cultures.
